This product is a Recombinant Endoproteinase Lys-C, expressed in E. Coli with the similar sequence & proteolytic activity of Lys-C from Achromobacterial proteasel (API). Due to its recombinant form there is no other unwanted serine protease such as Lys-N, Arg-C and only lysine-specific.

Definition of activity: One Amidase Unit (AU) is the amount of enzyme, which produces 1 micromole Ac-Lys-pNA per minute at 25 mmol/L Tris-HCl buffer pH 9.0 at 37°C.
Ratio of Lys-C & target protein is 1:1000-1:20000; pH 7.0-9.5, reaction temperature 30-37℃, 2-24 hr.
Optimization by adjusting the temperature, time & enzyme ratio can achieve specific purpose.
Enzyme inhibitors such as TLCK, Guanidine Hydrochloride should not be used
Existence of 0.2% SDS, 1.0% Triton, 6 mol/L Urea, 0.5 mol/L NaCl, 20% Acetonitrile in reaction buffer does not reduce the activity of Lys-C enzymatic digestion.
4.STABILITY OF STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
Stability of storage: It is lyophilized powder and is stable to use for at least 1 year with storage under -20℃ or below. Reconstituted with double distilled water under 2-8℃ its stability can last for 7 days. It is recommended to dilute the designated concentration by 25mol/L Tris-HCl (pH 8.5). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw after being dissolved.
Stability of transport: The product is stable by blue ice insulation transport.
